About the role

  • You support the sales team by conducting demonstrations of our welding products.
  • You increase customer retention and satisfaction by providing technical support to key accounts.
  • You maximize the profitability of your customer accounts by presenting our value-added products to existing and prospective customers.
  • You reinforce Air Products’ reputation as a quality supplier of gases by providing informed technical and safety advice on all welding- and cutting-related topics.
  • You contribute to the development and launch of new products.
  • You expand our OEM network in the metalworking sector.
  • You deliver welding training for our sales teams.

Requirements

  • You possess strong technical expertise in the trade and are recognized in the welding market as an experienced professional.
  • Qualifications as an International Welding Specialist (IWS) or International Welding Technologist (IWT) are an advantage.
  • You have completed vocational training and have experience in the metalworking industry (welding & cutting).
  • You have proven experience working with various materials (structural steel, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.), different processes (MIG/MAG, TIG, plasma, laser, etc.) and a range of gases.
  • You have up-to-date knowledge of technologies, processes and applications in the welding and manufacturing sector.
  • You have persuasive and negotiation skills and a good sense for sales opportunities.
  • You are highly motivated, self-initiated and work proactively.
  • You have strong interpersonal skills and are a team player.
  • You have PC skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and internal software systems.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in the welding industry, ideally 10 years (including relevant references).
  • Ideally, you bring experience from other metalworking companies or suppliers in the welding sector (e.g. consumables, welding equipment, etc.).
