About the role

  • Support commissioning and start‑up activities for industrial capital projects of varying scale.
  • Learn and apply Air Products’ safety standards, high‑voltage safety practices, and commissioning procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, helping to implement standardized work processes and industry best practices.
  • Assist in training and mentoring activities within the Air Products Q‑EC (qualified electrical commissioning) and instrument technician competency programs.
  • Support planning and coordination of FATs, equipment acceptance testing, pre‑commissioning, energization, and functional testing activities alongside senior staff.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years (total) of high voltage electrical field, design, and engineering experience.
  • An Electrical Engineering degree is required.
  • Proven experience with electrical construction management, inspection, electrical acceptance testing, electrical commissioning & functional testing, and equipment energization
  • Familiar with instrument construction management, instrument acceptance testing (loop checking), instrument and controls commissioning, functional testing, and validation, and equipment energization
  • Proven record of success in safety, environmental, quality and employee involvement.
  • Strong dedication to employee involvement, leadership, team building and diversity.
  • Approximately 35-60% travel to active sites, projects, and equipment inspections/FATs.
