About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform maintenance, repairs, inspections, and alterations of company-operated aircraft and articles as assigned
- Perform all core duties of applicable technician requirements
- Coordinate with AMC Maintenance Support and Planning Departments to support field maintenance needs
- Communicate with the Engineering Department regarding specialized shop needs
- Report project constraints and progress updates to Maintenance Leads and Supervisors
- Mentor new employees on shop procedures to improve efficiency and productivity
- Monitor, control, and order material usage in the designated shop
- Ensure aircraft maintenance documentation complies with Federal Aviation Regulations, company policies and procedures, and applicable maintenance manuals
- Support company operational goals and objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bell 407 rotor experience needed
- High school diploma or GED and five (5) or more years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Comprehensive knowledge of AMC Part 145 and Part 135 maintenance requirements and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Efficient use of electronic or paper-based manuals and ability to navigate vendor data
- Comprehensive knowledge of concepts and practices in the specific discipline and their application
- Ability to work independently or within a team environment
- Ability to manage several projects concurrently and solve problems of diverse scope
- Thorough understanding of the AMC Safety Management System
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Thorough knowledge and ability to utilize multiple RAMCO functions
- FAA A&P certification or meeting requirements to obtain an FAA repairman certificate preferred
- Regular scheduled attendance required
- Must comply with DOT/FAA drug and alcohol testing requirements
