About the role

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory services, focusing on oxygen therapy, clinical and ventilatory support, as well as sleep diagnostics and therapeutics
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and ensure patient safety while working directly with clients, referral sources, and funding agencies to deliver high-quality evidence-based care
  • Promote products and services, and work on growing the overall business through excellent customer service
  • Conduct full respiratory assessments to meet the client's goals and needs
  • Initiate and manage CPAP therapy as prescribed, providing education and instructions on equipment use and maintenance
  • Conduct appointments and set up equipment for sleep diagnostic testing in accordance with AASM guidelines
  • Provide regular follow-up to clients to assess treatment effects, comfort, and compliance
  • Assess clients' home environments for safety, addressing concerns, and performing quality control checks on equipment
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to promote company services and provide information and demonstrations of products
  • Maintain knowledge of clinical best practices and continuing education relevant to the position
  • Ensure compliance with funding processes and maintain accurate documentation through company forms
  • Uphold client confidentiality and protect company operations

Requirements

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN) / Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • RPSGT (Registered Polysomnographic Technologist) or CCSH (Certified Clinical Sleep Health) certification
  • Licensed to practice with the provincial governing body
  • Strong cardio-respiratory assessment skills and good knowledge of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) and CPAP therapy
  • Valid driver’s license and clear vulnerable persons check
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Willingness to participate in a rotational after-hours on-call schedule
  • Fluent in written and spoken English, with French fluency if required
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft and Google applications, as well as Android
