About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer the daily operations and activities of testing teams within the QA section
Plan, budget, and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing systems
Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases
Report and document issues, executed test cases, test results, and testing summaries
Perform manual testing and data validation
Execute SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
Collaborate with the LASO development team and customers to understand functionality under test, define test case automation, and communicate findings
Execute performance and accessibility testing
Support implementation of applications and projects within the LASO group

Requirements

What you’ll need

7 years of experience testing complex web applications
6 years of automation experience with Java and TestNG
5 years of expertise in SQL
4 years of experience with Playwright
4 years of experience with workflow-driven automation
4 years of experience with JMeter/WAPT Pro or another load-testing tool
3 years of experience with GitHub Copilot skills
Preferred: 2 years of previous experience with Zephyr Scale
Preferred: 2 years of previous experience with Jira
Preferred: 2 years of experience with Texas state government agencies or Texas school systems
Preferred: 2 years of experience with Grants or In-Kind programs
May require evenings, weekends, or holidays as pre-approved by the agency
Texas-based candidates are preferred
Monday–Friday availability, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, excluding State holidays
