About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the Texas Education Agency on SEDS and/or TSDS testing initiatives
Perform advanced computer systems analysis and team lead work
Administer daily operations and activities of testing teams within the Quality Assurance section
Plan, budget, and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing systems
Work with development teams and customers to design, automate, and execute test cases across complex web applications
Support performance, accessibility, and data validation testing
Analyze user requirements, design documents, and other documentation to develop detailed test cases
Create and execute automated functional and regression test cases
Report and document issues, executed test cases, test results, and testing summaries
Perform manual testing and data validation
Execute SQL queries to analyze and manipulate data
Define and implement test case automation strategies
Communicate testing progress and findings to the team
Execute performance and accessibility testing

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 7 years of experience testing complex web applications
6 years of automation experience with Java and TestNG
5 years of expertise in SQL
4 years of experience with Playwright
4 years of experience with workflow-driven automation
4 years of experience with JMeter/WAPT Pro or other load testing tools
3 years of experience with GitHub Copilot skills
Preferred: 2 years of experience with Zephyr Scale
Preferred: 2 years of experience with Jira
May require evenings, weekends, or holidays as pre-approved by the agency
Texas-based candidates are preferred
