This is a remote position. The Tableau Developer will support the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) on workflow-driven analytics and business intelligence reporting initiatives.
This role is responsible for designing and developing dashboards, reports, and data visualization solutions that support agency operations and decision-making.
The Tableau Developer will collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, integrate data from multiple sources, and create visualizations that improve process visibility, performance monitoring, and operational efficiency.
This role also provides data analysis, report optimization, and ongoing support for business intelligence initiatives.
The Tableau Developer is expected to deliver accurate, efficient, and timely dashboards and workflow analytics solutions that maintain data integrity and support effective operational and executive decision-making.

Requirements

What you’ll need

8 years of experience developing, implementing, and maintaining Tableau dashboards, reports, and data visualizations in an enterprise environment.
8 years of experience with Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server/Cloud, including dashboard design, data modeling, calculations, and performance optimization.
8 years of experience working with relational databases and writing SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
8 years of experience gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into technical reporting and analytics solutions.
8 years of experience integrating and validating data from multiple data sources, including enterprise systems and data warehouses.
8 years of knowledge of data visualization best practices, KPI development, and business intelligence reporting standards.
8 years of experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and quality assurance.
8 years of experience communicating effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and working in a collaborative team environment.
