Key responsibilities & impact- **Workflow Orchestration Platform**
- - Design and build Aion's orchestration platform for executing enterprise AI workflows across distributed infrastructure.
- - Develop scalable workflow engines capable of coordinating AI pipelines, agents, APIs, data processing, and infrastructure services.
- - Build modular orchestration services that support complex dependency management, retries, scheduling, and event-driven execution.
- - Architect orchestration primitives that enable reusable, configurable, and production-ready AI workflows.
- **Execution Engine & Infrastructure**
- - Build highly reliable execution engines capable of coordinating workloads across Kubernetes, containers, serverless environments, and cloud infrastructure.
- - Design intelligent scheduling mechanisms that optimize execution order, resource utilization, and workflow throughput.
- - Implement fault-tolerant orchestration with automatic retries, checkpointing, rollback strategies, and failure recovery.
- - Optimize workflow execution latency while maintaining scalability and operational efficiency.
- **Distributed Systems & Platform Reliability**
- - Build resilient distributed systems that coordinate services across multiple compute environments.
- - Design scalable control planes supporting thousands of concurrent workflow executions.
- - Implement event-driven architectures using queues, messaging systems, and asynchronous execution models.

Requirements
What you’ll need- Technical Skills & Experience
- - 4+ years of experience building backend systems, distributed platforms, workflow orchestration engines, or cloud-native infrastructure.
- - Strong proficiency in Golang is preferred; Python or Rust experience is a plus.
- - Deep understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
- - Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud-native infrastructure.
- - Familiarity with workflow orchestration frameworks such as Temporal, Argo Workflows, Airflow, Dagster, Prefect, or similar platforms.
- - Experience building APIs, SDKs, and control plane services.
- - Strong understanding of scheduling algorithms, dependency management, retries, checkpointing, and workflow execution models.
- - Experience with message brokers including Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or similar technologies.
- - Familiarity with databases including PostgreSQL, Redis, and distributed storage systems.
- - Experience implementing observability using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and distributed tracing.
- - Understanding of authentication, authorization, secrets management, and enterprise security best practices.
- - Exposure to AI infrastructure, LLM pipelines, agent orchestration, or model deployment workflows is highly desirable.
- Bonus/ Good to Have
- - AI Workflow Automation: Experience orchestrating LLM pipelines, multi-agent systems, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) workflows, or autonomous AI applications.
- - Cloud & Platform Engineering: Experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), Kubernetes Operators, or platform engineering.
- - Enterprise Integrations: Experience integrating enterprise applications including CRMs, ERPs, identity providers, messaging systems, and SaaS platforms.
- - Developer Platforms: Experience building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs), platform tooling, CLI utilities, SDKs, or developer productivity systems.
- - Systems Programming: Experience building control planes, schedulers, operators, distributed coordination services, or large-scale automation systems.
