About the role

  • Become a trusted advisor working together with our clients, from data owners and analytic users to C-level executives on how to best solve their application needs
  • Develop, test, and maintain web applications using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • Collaborate with the design and product teams to implement user-friendly and visually appealing interfaces
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and backend systems, including CRUD applications and integrations with external APIs
  • Optimize applications for speed and scalability
  • Troubleshoot and debug issues to improve application performance and user experience
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in web development
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to development standards
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and user guides

Requirements

  • Degree educated in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years working with application development; both frontend and backend
  • Proven experience as a Web Developer, Applications Engineer, Software Engineer or similar role
  • Proficiency in React
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Proficiency in one or more backend languages (preferable one of Python, Java, C# or Golang)
  • Familiarity with developing RESTful APIs
  • Proficiency with data app frameworks like Streamlit
  • Preferred proficiency in SQL and working with relational database systems (e.g. Postgres, MySQL)
  • Experience with modern data platforms a plus (preferably Databricks or Snowflake)
  • Experience with CI/CD (e.g. GitHub Actions), testing frameworks and production release processes
  • Experience with code instrumentation, monitoring and observability systems preferred
  • Consulting experience required.
