About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Prospecting & Lead Generation — Identification: Research target companies that are an ideal fit for us (e.g., upper mid-market companies with a modernization backlog or large enterprises focused on cloud migration).
  • Multichannel Outbound & Social Selling (Outreach): Leverage LinkedIn power: actively build relationships through valuable content and targeted networking. No "spam", but strategic social selling.
  • Lead Qualification & Discovery (The Filter) — Needs Analysis: Determine whether the prospect has a real pain point, whether there is a budget, and what the current IT landscape looks like.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Sales experience: First experience in sales, business development, or account management (ideally in a B2B setting or with SaaS/IT services).
  • Basic technical understanding: You don’t need to be a data scientist, but you should understand terms like Cloud Computing, Data Lakehouse, Machine Learning, and Generative AI. Knowledge of the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure) is a major plus.
  • Language skills: Business‑fluent German (C2) for communication with German Mittelstand companies and very good English for work in the tech environment.
  • Tool stack: Confident use of CRM systems (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce, or HubSpot) as well as research tools like LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Academic background: Studies in business administration, business informatics, marketing, or a comparable qualification are advantageous but not required if you have relevant experience.
