About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Onboard new business opportunities
- Handle up to 2 medium-sized Group Captive accounts
- Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other underwriters
- Communicate risk appetite/Captive Solutions Value Proposition to brokers
- Work with Associate Underwriter(s) to ensure booking and coding on accounts are completed
- Resolve account-related questions from internal peers and/or Clients/ Brokers
- Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Producers and Captive Intermediaries
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Prior insurance experience required
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
- Demonstrated sales, marketing and relationship building experience
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Highly motivated and results-oriented
- Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
- Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do-attitude
