About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Onboard new business opportunities
  • Handle up to 2 medium-sized Group Captive accounts
  • Maintain clear and concise underwriting files and perform self-audits for other underwriters
  • Communicate risk appetite/Captive Solutions Value Proposition to brokers
  • Work with Associate Underwriter(s) to ensure booking and coding on accounts are completed
  • Resolve account-related questions from internal peers and/or Clients/ Brokers
  • Participate in client (internal/external) conference calls
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with the Producers and Captive Intermediaries

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Prior insurance experience required
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Demonstrated sales, marketing and relationship building experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing environment
  • Willingness to be flexible, learn on the job, and maintain a can-do-attitude
