About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop your expertise in handling and investigating complex claims
  • Handle genuine claims through a proactive, best practice approach
  • Actively promote and demonstrate the principles of ‘Treating Customers Fairly’
  • Proactively identify and review suspect/fraudulent claims
  • Maintain regular contact with internal stakeholders and brokers, experts, and clients' lawyers
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external customers
  • Provide support to Team Managers and deputy in their absence
  • Assist with monitoring market/industry practices in claims handling

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Knowledge of legal / regulatory and litigation / procedural requirements for Workers' Compensation
  • Specialist knowledge of Workers' Compensation technical claims topics is preferred
  • At least some experience in negotiation, mediation, and arbitration
  • Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
  • Lateral thinking and the ability to problem solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices
  • Strong communication, time management, administrative and report-writing skills.
