About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the implementation, ongoing management, and enhancement of the Fixed, Index, Registered Indexed-Linked Annuities (RILA), and Variable product lines.
- Identify, evaluate, and prioritize product differentiation opportunities including feature enhancements, usability improvements, and customer experience innovations.
- Support ongoing optimization of existing products by helping to identify enhancement opportunities that improve competitiveness, usability, and customer value beyond initial product launch.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, sales performance, and customer feedback to inform product strategy and enhancement decisions.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product Development, Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Marketing, and Sales to execute product initiatives and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain product roadmaps focused on continuous improvement and differentiation.
- Serve as a point of contact for product-related matters including marketing, rate setting, operations, legal, and compliance.
- Engage with IMO and distribution partners to understand preferences, analyze sales trends, and identify opportunities to optimize product performance.
- Draft and deliver product and feature announcements, comparative materials, and positioning content aligned with distribution strategy.
- Lead cross-functional working groups, chair meetings, prepare agendas, document outcomes, and ensure timely follow-up.
- Oversee the creation, review, and approval of marketing, point-of-sale, and support materials to ensure accuracy, compliance, and strategic alignment.
- Support annual governance activities, including Owners Acknowledgement reviews, in partnership with Legal and Compliance.
- Monitor product and enhancement performance post-launch and incorporate insights into future development efforts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, project management, operations, sales, or marketing within financial services.
- Annuity products and industry knowledge is strongly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to translate insights into actionable product enhancements.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in a regulated environment.
- Experience conducting competitive analysis and supporting product differentiation strategies.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
