Complex Claims Adjuster – Accident & Health, Business Travel
AIGComplex Claims Adjuster handling accident and health insurance cases at AIG. Responsible for processing complex claims and liaising with various stakeholders for evaluation.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Independently handle claims in the areas of accident, health and business travel insurance within assigned authority limits, including cases with an international dimension
- Coverage assessment, analysis of scope of cover, policy terms and entitlement to benefits
- Independently and proactively investigate case facts to evaluate claims through active contact with policyholders, brokers, attorneys, physicians, medical experts, authorities and by reviewing medical findings/medical reports, investigative files and invoices
- Identify indicators of fraud and, where appropriate, refer cases to the relevant departments
- Maintain claims files and document case progress in internal systems
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ideally a degree in insurance, law, business administration or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in claims handling, preferably in accident, health or business travel insurance
- Confident handling of policy wordings to comprehensively assess insurance coverage
- High attention to detail, with a structured, proactive and team-oriented working style and clear communication skills in claims-related correspondence
- Enjoy interacting and negotiating with international brokers and clients, with a customer-focused mindset
- Proficient with common IT systems and MS Office
- Very good German and English language skills
