About the role
- Executing monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes
- Preparing public-facing disclosures, notably AIG Parent-only financial statements
- Enhancing quality of key general ledger account reconciliations
- Providing professional support to various functional groups
- Supporting and contributing to management and execution of projects
- Identifying opportunities and contributing to strengthening the control environment
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Qualified CPA preferred
- 3+ years of financial reporting and/or accounting experience preferred
- Experience in a controllership or financial reporting role at a public company
- Insurance sector experience a plus
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment
