About the role
- Manage a claims team handling financial lines and transactional insurance claims
- Train and develop claims adjusters in all areas of claims handling
- Assure compliance with Best Practices and departmental policies and procedures
- Keep abreast of litigation trends and regulatory updates effecting FI and transactional matters
- Make presentations to senior management on high severity or complex matters and trends
- Analyze claims trends and statistics to assist the business in proactively managing risks and exposures
- Work closely with Underwriting counterparts in risk analysis and account meetings
Requirements
- 10+ years FI and/or transactional insurance claims experience
- Management experience preferred
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written presentation skills
- Ability to lead a claims team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong analytical abilities and effective interpersonal and organizational skills
