About the role

  • Perform property loss prevention reviews of commercial property accounts
  • Document account review results in a data-driven application
  • Conduct periodic client service meetings with underwriters, brokers, and clients
  • Analyze and manage risk mitigation measures for an account and work with clients to prioritize and implement them
  • Translate client needs and loss prevention strategies into a client service plan
  • Periodically conduct or witness property loss prevention surveys at key client facilities
  • Perform technical analysis of a facility's loss prevention attributes
  • Conduct consultative visits to customer facilities and witness fire protection equipment testing
  • Provide engineering data system support and guidance and stay informed of system-related issues within the region

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Certified Fire Protection Specialist designation preferred but not required
  • Several years of experience with highly protected risks, specialized industries, and/or boiler and machinery field work
  • Knowledge of a wide range of occupancies from low to high hazard and regarded as a subject-matter expert in some areas
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English
  • Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within an engineering team
  • Position requires regional travel and attendance at meetings in offices, field locations, and construction sites
  • Ability to perform inspections of buildings and other structures, both visually and using instruments
  • Ability to read construction drawings, diagrams, and technical documents
