About the role

  • Development of strategies to stabilize the existing portfolio
  • Further development and/or strengthening of existing broker and client relationships
  • Acquisition of new clients in the assigned region
  • Responsibility for achieving the assigned new business budget
  • Proactive and independent management of assigned major clients, in-house brokers and key brokers
  • Active relationship management with decision-makers
  • Ensuring high customer and broker satisfaction
  • Organising and conducting regular meetings (annual reviews, account meetings, etc.)
  • Representing AIG at external events, conferences and forums
  • Ensuring achievement of sales targets (monitoring KPIs, directing targeting and sales activities, portfolio retention and expansion, new business, and customer and broker satisfaction)
  • Leading and coordinating virtual account teams (Underwriting, Claims, Operations)
  • Developing customer-specific plans in close coordination with product line managers
  • Maintaining sales-relevant data in our sales systems (including Salesforce)
  • Monitoring business development using relevant KPIs, including preparing monthly "Production Meetings" and presenting sales activities/results in management meetings
  • Project- and client-specific escalation management.

Requirements

  • Degree in law, business administration or a comparable field (Master’s degree advantageous) or equivalent vocational qualification
  • Extensive professional experience in the large-account segment at an internationally oriented company in the insurance industry
  • Existing strong network with large clients, in-house brokers and key brokers
  • Proven track record in broker/key account management
  • Cross-line expertise with at least one specialty insurance line
  • Leadership skills in the sense of "influencing without authority," including the ability to coordinate virtual (client) teams efficiently and effectively
  • Strong customer orientation combined with the ability to build and further develop stable relationships (credibility, authenticity)
  • Team player, ability to work independently, quick comprehension and decisiveness
  • Excellent written and spoken German and English required
  • Good IT skills (Office 365, Salesforce)
