About the role
- Develop expertise in handling and investigating complex claims
- Proactively deal with claims in accordance with best practice guidelines
- Regular contact with internal stakeholders and brokers, experts, and external lawyers
- Use claims expertise to support the feedback loop to key stakeholders
Requirements
- Claims handling experience, with Casualty experience being an advantage
- A customer centric mindset is critical
- Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment within which such claims are handled
- Proven ability to make an accurate and timely decision
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
- Lateral thinking and the ability to problem solve and develop new ideas to improve working practices
- Strong desire to support a key aim of continuous improvement
