About the role
- Lead compliance monitoring, assurance and remediation activities across AIG Australia and New Zealand
- Support the Chief Compliance Officer Australia & New Zealand to ensure that regulatory requirements are met
- Lead the implementation of the global compliance management system
- Contribute to the ongoing management of the localised compliance management framework
- Implementation of the controls monitoring and assurance program
- Manage compliance incidents and breaches
- Provide support in generating reports and insights on monitoring and assurance activities to Management and Board
- Promote a strong compliance and conduct risk culture
- Support continuous education and improvement initiatives within the Compliance function and broader business
Requirements
- Proven experience with controls monitoring and assurance activities within financial services, preferably insurance
- Proven experience in managing and using Governance, Risk & Compliance systems (ServiceNow preferred but not essential), PowerBI, SharePoint, Excel
- Understanding of key general insurance legislation and regulatory obligations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the presence and ability to interact and build credibility across all levels of staff
- A professional educational background or proven experience preferably legal or audit qualifications.
