About the role
- Handle auto and general liability claims under general supervision
- Ensure ongoing adjudication of claims within Company standards
- Analyze and process 3rd party property damage claims
- Determine need for and direct independent adjusters
- Identify and evaluate coverage issues
- Prepare comprehensive coverage letters with supervisory review
- Assess liability and resolve claim within established evaluation
- Maintain diaries and complete tasks within required timeframes
- Coordinate vendor referrals for additional investigation and/or litigation management
- Calculate and assign timely and appropriate reserves
- Attend arbitrations, mediations, settlement conferences, and trials
Requirements
- 4+ years of claims handling experience required handling AL/GL bodily injury and property damage.
- Strong decision-making ability and the ability to negotiate
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks simultaneously and exercise good judgment
- Candidate with multi state adjuster licenses.
- College degree preferred.
