About the role

  • Responsible for requirements analysis and the functional detailed design for the implementation of software solutions
  • Further development and optimization of the existing landscape of the core policy system and other integrated core systems
  • Implement software projects in an international environment using agile development methods in collaboration with colleagues worldwide
  • Conduct requirements analysis, including re-engineering when necessary, and transfer knowledge about business processes and insurance products
  • Design and implement new business features in collaboration with internal customers (Product Owners)
  • Coordinate the implementation of initiatives after analysis: commission developers, align on functional tests, hand over to application management, and participate in the release process
  • Work closely with product managers, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, developers, project managers, and other engineering teams

Requirements

  • Completed vocational training as an insurance specialist (Versicherungskaufmann/-frau) or an equivalent qualification with an IT background
  • Professional experience in an IT environment as a Business Analyst
  • Strong interest and willingness to pursue further training, especially in the insurance business and modern IT technologies (Cloud, AI, microservice architectures)
  • Independent, self-directed way of working
  • Ability to think and work in a structured and conceptual manner
  • Experience in the insurance industry and in regulated environments is an advantage
  • Experience in agile refinement: creating a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and breaking work down into separately actionable user stories
  • Demonstrable business-fluent German and English skills
