About the role

  • Apply your project management abilities by performing preliminary design and calculations for the bid estimates
  • Preparing pricing for materials, labor, freight, and fabrication
  • Seeking out competitive vendors and services to assure that Ahern’s fire protection projects are competitively bid
  • Preparing change orders for customers
  • Attending job site meetings
  • Verifying installation progress and maintaining labor projections
  • Meeting with management on a regular basis to discuss project status and due dates
  • Participating in turnover meetings as required
  • Assisting with any follow-up information with the customer as is requested
  • Assuming an active role in managing the projects in conjunction with the designer and construction superintendent

Requirements

  • 3+ years of project management experience in the construction industry
  • Must have excellent communication, customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Basic computer skills
