About the role

  • Showcase your design skills while playing a key role in various fire protection system projects
  • Exercise attention to detail while designing automatic sprinkler systems using AutoSPRINK and other design software
  • Plan, organize, and execute projects in conjunction with a Project Manager
  • Conduct on-site field surveys
  • Generate hydraulic calculations
  • Submit drawings to obtain the required building permits
  • Coordinate 3D models
  • Prepare bill of materials for fabrication
  • Ensure projects adhere to proposed timelines
  • Prepare project close-out, operation and maintenance documents

Requirements

  • Ahern will help make the most of your construction knowledge/experiences, design/drafting experiences, and/or construction degree in a related program
  • Being proficient in CAD software
  • Mathematically and technically inclined to learn industry-specific software and codes
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment
  • Commitment to providing exceptional customer service
  • Maintaining cutting-edge industry knowledge
  • Executing tasks with a great amount of detail
  • Prior experience designing fire protection systems
  • Hold a NICET certification
