About the role
- Design and model complex systems—either plumbing or piping—based on provided specifications
- Ensure all associated drawings, calculations, and material lists are accurate and complete
- Collaborate with project teams to coordinate comprehensive systems that vary in size and scope
- Operate independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and ensure quality
Requirements
- Either an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design, Civil Engineering, Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, or a related field
- Proficiency in recent versions of software, including Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud
- Equivalent field experience such as managing large commercial or industrial construction projects that involve fabrication and coordination responsibilities
- A strong understanding of building construction
- The ability to read blueprints
- Solid math and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage design schedules and lead coordination efforts
- For plumbing designers, a working knowledge of Wisconsin Plumbing Code is necessary
- For piping designers, experience with steam and hydronic systems is required
