About the role
- Negotiate partnership agreements, terms, and pricing to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for both parties.
- Own driving and executing legal agreements, working with internal team members and counsel.
- Engage with new partners; drafting LOIs, doing all the work needed ahead of establishing broader commercial agreements.
- Monitor and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to strategic partnerships, providing regular updates and reports to the executive/leadership team.
- Foster long-term relationships with key stakeholders with potential partners, including C-level executives, product managers, and technical teams.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to establish and grow strong relationships.
- Create compelling presentations and pitch materials to effectively communicate the value proposition of partnering with Agtonomy.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and drive innovation within our product offerings.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, including product development, marketing, and sales, to align partnership objectives and ensure successful execution.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network, build relationships, and stay informed about market trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree, equivalent combination of education/work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business development, corporate development or another business function requiring deal analysis and negotiation (ideally, but not necessary, to have experience working with equipment manufacturers)
- Exceptional negotiation, legal documents, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of successfully establishing and managing strategic partnerships that drive revenue growth.
- Strong understanding of manufacturer business models, industry trends, and customer needs.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data to inform decision-making.
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time as needed for business development meetings and events.
- Highly collaborative mindset and strong communication skills
- Data-driven approach to taking learnings from the field to the business
- Computer skills and fluency in Google tools, PowerPoint, Slack, and various other technology tools
