About the role
- Develop global regulatory strategy: Support the development of new SO2 products by building registration strategies for the targeted markets with the support of regional regulatory managers and consultants.
- Assess cost and timing for the development of the core data package.
- Coordinate and monitor product/active ingredient studies with CROs.
- Lead and manage the regulatory submission process, including preparing and reviewing regulatory dossiers, managing timelines, and ensuring approval in key global markets.
- Participate in key agency meetings in support of regional regulatory managers.
- Build annual budget for the regulatory SO2 projects.
- Asset management: Work with operations on the sourcing of active ingredients.
- Discuss regulatory activities with SO2 active ingredient suppliers.
- Stay up to date on global regulatory changes impacting AgroFresh products and competitors.
- Assess food trade possibilities and way to improve them (MRLs, Its).
- Regulatory advocacy: Act as a key point of contact with regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, EFSA, etc.), industry groups, and other stakeholders to ensure positive relationships and promote favorable regulatory outcomes.
- Global Database: Ensure accurate record keeping on product and active ingredient studies in AgroFresh database.
Requirements
- Advanced degree in a related technical area (Toxicology, Residue Chemistry, etc.)
- 5-7 years of prior Ag regulatory experience.
- Masters degree required. Ph.D. preferred.
- Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with the regulatory requirements for pesticide registrations in key agencies.
- Representing the company with main agencies and industry associations.
