Cost Accountant
Agri Technovation GlobalCost Accountant responsible for managing and analyzing cost structures for informed pricing and financial efficiency in the organization. Develops cost accounting systems and provides analysis for product costs.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and maintain the cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organisation.
- Analyse and recommend product costs and cost savings.
- Prepare and complete internal cost audits.
- Analyse the data collected and log a detailed record of the results.
- Analyse any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.
- Maintain product and formulation master data.
- Consolidate sales forecasts from different business units.
- Incorporate sales forecasts into production plan to determine raw material demands.
- Measure and report on actual sales and production figures compared to forecasts and revise production plans.
- Communicate any discrepancies between forecasts and actuals with relevant parts of the business to take necessary action.
Requirements
What you’ll need- BCom Finance degree
- 1 to 3 years’ experience as an Accountant, specifically Cost Accounting experience
- Full professional proficiency in Afrikaans and English (written and spoken)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
