About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, build, and maintain the company's mobile application across iOS, Android, or both
Write clean, efficient, well-documented code following best practices and coding standards
Translate designs, wireframes, and product requirements into functional features
Implement and consume APIs connecting the app with backend services and third-party integrations
Fix bugs, resolve crashes, and address performance and stability issues
Monitor app performance and optimize speed, responsiveness, memory use, and battery consumption
Write and run unit and integration tests
Keep the app current with new OS versions, device types, and platform requirements
Manage the build, release, and deployment process to the App Store and Google Play
Handle versioning, rollouts, and post-release monitoring
Collaborate with product, design, QA, backend, product managers, business stakeholders, and senior developers
Participate in code reviews, planning, and technical discussions
Document technical decisions, architecture, and processes
Implement secure coding practices and protect user data
Ensure compliance with relevant privacy, data-protection, App Store, and Google Play requirements
Stay current on mobile development trends, tools, and frameworks
Recommend improvements to the app's architecture, codebase, and user experience

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience from coding bootcamps or certifications
1–2 years of software development experience
1–2 years of experience working with mobile platforms
Strong organizational skills and attention to process management
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem-solving ability
Ability to work with iOS, Android, or both platforms
Knowledge of APIs, backend services, and third-party integrations
Knowledge of unit and integration testing
Knowledge of App Store and Google Play build, release, and deployment processes
Knowledge of secure coding practices, privacy, and data-protection requirements
