About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Administer eXp Commercial Brokerage operations in New York and New Jersey
Support agents in delivering exceptional commercial real estate brokerage services
Ensure compliance with state license laws and applicable state and federal regulations
Conduct transaction reviews, contract reviews, and approvals for legal and contractual compliance
Conduct training on contracts, risk management, licensing, and state real estate laws
Respond promptly to agents’ requests for assistance
Consult with advisors and internal partners on difficult or complex transaction issues
Administer and manage the state trust account according to state law, when required
Collaborate with the Director of Commercial Brokerage Operations and legal department
Implement the eXp Risk Management Program and demonstrate risk management tools
Defend the company’s position at the state level in Real Estate Commission complaints
Manage and enhance company-wide and state commercial brokerage operations manuals
Support efficient brokerage operations for the growing state advisor base
Mediate issues between eXp Commercial advisors and eXp Realty agents when required
Engage with advisors monthly and track those engagements
Attract advisors to the eXp Commercial brand and document attraction efforts
Distribute corporate guidance through regular personal and group communication
Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must live in and maintain an active real estate broker license in New York and New Jersey
High-level experience in commercial real estate compliance activities
Deep knowledge of legal obligations of real estate professionals under state and federal law and Department of Real Estate rules and regulations
Proven track record managing a large commercial brokerage firm from an operations or compliance perspective
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Highly collaborative and able to work with internal partners
Ability to make quick decisions and solve problems using solid judgment
SkySlope experience strongly preferred
Highest degree of ethics and integrity
Willingness and ability to travel within the state
BA/BS strongly preferred
High School Diploma/GED required
Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
