About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Join AGL Loy Yang for the 2027 Fabrication Apprenticeships.
  • As a boilermaker, you’ll learn to work with metal to fabricate, install, and repair critical infrastructure like boilers, pressure vessels, ducting, and structural supports.
  • You’ll master advanced skills in welding, thermal cutting, and interpreting complex technical drawings— All this while contributing to critical infrastructure that powers homes, industries, and entire communities.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Completion of Year 11 or equivalent by the end of 2026
  • Cert II related to the trade is highly desirable, however not essential.
  • Demonstrated interest in your nominated trade.
  • Strong commitment to safety.
  • Ability to travel to and from worksite.
  • Available to commence Apprenticeship in January 2027
