About the role
- The Transport Operations Analyst I is responsible for obtaining quotes and securing the best cost-benefit conditions for transportation, acting as liaison between the company, carriers, and customers.
- Monitors carrier performance indicators, proposes process improvements, and manages delivery scheduling to ensure deadlines are met.
- Handles customer-specific issue resolution, oversees cross-docking processes, and participates in continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring smooth operation of logistics and administrative activities related to transportation.
- Posting freight in GFE
- Monitoring invoice due dates
- Perform other related tasks inherent to the role, contributing to the efficient operation of the Operations Department.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives in transportation processes.
- Oversee all operational and administrative routines involving the shipper AGIS and carriers, including claims, outstanding issues, case analyses, etc.
Requirements
- Experience with freight management systems, especially GFE
- Microsoft Office suite, with intermediate-level Excel
- Currently enrolled in a university degree program
