About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design and lead the end-to-end Microsoft Intune architecture for a large federal enterprise
Establish secure modern management patterns across Windows, iOS/iPadOS, and Android
Define security baselines and conditional access guardrails
Engineer a Blackberry UEM to Intune migration and co-management strategy using SCCM/Configuration Manager
Establish technical governance, standards, patterns, and guardrails
Partner with Security, Identity, Networking, Client Engineering, and PMO teams
Deliver a Zero Trust-aligned endpoint platform
Lead pilots, wave plans, and executive-level briefings
Produce strong technical documentation and manage stakeholders

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum 8 years of experience in a relevant field
7–10+ years in endpoint management
3–5+ years architecting Intune at enterprise scale, including 10k+ devices or federal programs
Expert knowledge of Intune and modern management, including Autopilot, device compliance, configuration profiles, Win32/MSIX/MAM, update rings, and RBAC/scopes
Experience designing Conditional Access, governing BitLocker, applying Microsoft Security Baselines, integrating Defender for Endpoint, and managing threat and vulnerability workflows
Azure AD/Entra ID tenant administration, user/group design, SSO using SAML/OIDC, device identities, and certificate/PKI integration
PowerShell scripting, configuration-as-code mindset, reusable modules, and reporting
MAM/app protection policies and conditional launch controls
Hands-on experience transitioning SCCM/Configuration Manager to cloud-based Intune, defining co-management workloads, and executing phased cutovers
Ability to lead pilots, wave plans, and executive-level briefings
Strong documentation and stakeholder management skills
Preferred: Zero Trust architecture and NIST 800-53 endpoint control mapping; familiarity with FedRAMP/ATO processes
Preferred: Win32 packaging at scale, app remediation, and Autopatch/update-ring optimization
Preferred: Advanced Conditional Access design and Entra ID P2 features
Preferred: Defender for Endpoint advanced hunting using KQL, ASR, tamper protection, and automated response playbooks
Preferred: Enterprise certificate management, SCEP/PKCS, Wi-Fi/VPN profiles, and network prerequisites
Preferred: Terraform/Bicep or pipeline-driven deployments and Git-based governance
Preferred: Incident response and disaster-recovery runbooks, executive communications, and change management expertise
Public Trust or higher clearance eligibility
Prior federal client experience
