About the role
- Maintain fixed asset subledger to ledger including construction in progress, capitalize projects/expenses per GAAP and company policy, monthly reporting and support audit.
- Maintain and review standard costs, monthly basis reconcile subledger to ledger, calculate excess & obsolete/aging reserves and physical inventory.
- Manage count accuracy metrics and tolerance thresholds using ABC methodology. Perform monthly audits of counts and report out on results to Management.
- Analyze shipping and logistics costs, identifying areas for optimization and cost reduction.
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes, preparing journal entries and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; Associate degree with relevant manufacturing cost accounting experience will be considered.
- 3–5+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing.
- Experience working in a high-growth or operationally complex environment, with the ability to translate financial and operational data into clear insights, communicate key findings, and recommend actionable recommendations to cross-functional team.
- Strong analytical and system skills (Google Sheets, Quickbooks, Netsuite, Integrated ERP Systems).
- Authorization to work in the USA.
