About the role
- Lead the end-to-end design process for robot and web based UI: e.g. create wireframes, prototypes, and final UI assets ready for implementation by our development team.
- Design industry leading user interfaces and experiences for robot operator tools, dashboards, and mobile/web/VR applications.
- Develop and maintain design systems and style guides to ensure consistency across platforms.
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align design solutions with technical feasibility and business needs.
- Assist our HRI/UX Researcher in conducting user research and usability testing, and then iterate based on feedback.
- Create intuitive visualizations for real-time data, robot status, and system controls.
- Stay current with UX/UI best practices and emerging design trends.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of professional UX/UI design experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centered design across web or software applications.
- Experience designing complex systems, dashboards, or technical tools.
- Familiarity with robotics, IoT, or industrial automation interfaces.
- Knowledge of front-end development basics (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) for better design-engineering collaboration.
- Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
- Experience with prototyping and usability testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
