About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead full development and commercial-stage alliances with pharmaceutical organizations
  • Act as the primary point of contact and owner of relationships with the assigned partner
  • Proactively identify partner’s precision medicine needs and establish new collaborations
  • Ensure performance to agreement standards and constraints
  • Manage alliance and governance to anticipate and address partner needs
  • Align partner and Agilent activities with the contract and customer service standards
  • Coordinate CDx activities for Rx expansion to additional indications and geographies
  • Drive Agilent as the partner of choice with new stakeholders
  • Field customer inquiries, pitch CDx capabilities, prepare proposals, and execute contracts

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) and/or a PhD/Master's degree in a Life Sciences discipline
  • 8+ years in two of the following: working with companion diagnostics or drug development, working in a business development role involving companion diagnostic products or services, negotiating contracts that include diagnostic products, services or licensing at a biopharmaceutical organization
  • Command of CDx technologies, development, and commercialization
  • Understands the application of NGS, IHC, ISH, and other technologies in CDx
  • Command of CDx development and commercialization processes
  • Understanding of the drug development process, especially in conjunction with a companion diagnostic
  • Networking with translational medicine leaders at biopharma organizations
  • Networking with the Precision Medicine community in diagnostics and biopharma
  • Relationships with clinical laboratories and technology companies in the precision medicine space
  • Analytical skills to extract and compile voluminous technical, market, and financial data and construct business case recommendations
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
  • Presence, professionalism, and confidence in executive interactions
