About the role

  • Support our customers with on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of Agilent Chromatography systems
  • Installs and optimizes hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites
  • Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems
  • Performs maintenance and repairs
  • Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance and configurations, which may impact product performance
  • Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
  • Deliver fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software
  • Train other field engineers and customers on the solutions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or other university-level degrees in related science fields -- e.g., chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar are highly preferred
  • 1-2+ years of experience working with analytical instrumentation, ideally including repair, maintenance, and/or troubleshooting
  • Experience or expertise with Chromatography ( LC ) and Mass Spec (LCMS)
  • Ability to solve high-impact problems related to product availability; typically, system/ solution-focused
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer relationship-building skills are essential
