About the role

  • Meet or exceed the assigned sales quota for your designated territory.
  • Identify customers using supplied leads, local shows, and account management techniques.
  • Qualify all potential customers through needs analysis, budget and purchase authority.
  • Perform demonstrations of instruments and software.
  • Develop a thorough working knowledge of the instruments including design, functionality and operation.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough working knowledge of typical instrument applications.
  • Manage the assigned territory including record keeping and reporting, via Salesforce CRM.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • Must consent to participate and meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain access to customer sites. Requirements may include, but are not limited to, proof of identification, proof of certification to perform the work required, customer health and safety requirements, etc.
  • Bachelor's Degree in biological science or closely related field; or advanced degree in Microbiology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
  • At least 2+ years relevant experience
  • Experience with Agilent Cell Analysis instrumentation (BioTek, Acea, and Seahorse) a plus.
  • Knowledge of cell-based assays including but not limited to: flow cytometry, widefield or confocal microscopy, live cell analyses, as well as a general foundation in the use of data analysis software programs.
