About the role
- Own the product vision and roadmap for CommonGrants and SimplerGrants reporting/automation, translating program goals into a prioritized backlog of well-scoped epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
- Lead sprint planning and facilitate core agile ceremonies (standups, refinement, reviews/demos, retros), driving healthy team flow and continuous improvement.
- Plan and facilitate cross-program meetings and in-person events with HHS and multiple vendors/workstreams to align goals, dependencies, timelines, and decisions for Grants.gov modernization.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (HHS, SimplerGrants vendors, partner programs) and external stakeholders (CommonGrants adopters, open-source contributors), ensuring feedback informs product direction.
- Track delivery against roadmap and sprint goals, monitor program health signals, and provide clear progress updates, risks, and tradeoffs to support governance and expectation-setting.
- Surface blockers, risks, and cross-team dependencies early; drive mitigation plans and decision points with engineers, program leads, and partners.
- Track budget and burn to support timely invoicing and responsible use of contract funds; coordinate forecasts and resourcing needs with program leadership.
- Ensure product outcomes and delivery practices reflect Agile Six values, accessibility commitments, and the long-term sustainability of the CommonGrants standard.
