About the role

  • Study, analyze, and understand business requirements in the context of business intelligence
  • Work with data owners, internal customers, technology team, and other developers to build effective solutions
  • Design efficient data models enabling data analysis
  • Clean, shape, and transform data for meaningful insights
  • Build interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports
  • Integrate data from various sources to create comprehensive reports
  • Measure key report performance indicators and optimize performance
  • Understand organizational data sources and present data to aid decision-making
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to identify business requirements
  • Use Power BI to prepare, model, visualize, and analyze data
  • Research Power BI Power Query translations issues for editing queries
  • Troubleshoot instances of Power BI reports not updating properly
  • Develop tutorials/content for IM/KM library on various Power BI topics for end user reference

Requirements

  • 4+ Years Power BI experience
  • Advanced analytical skills to interpret and analyze complex data sets
  • Proficient at using Power Query and Data Analysis Expressions (DAX)
  • Troubleshooting for all issues associated with reports, including external data connections & data sources
  • Effective communication skills to work with stakeholders and team members
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve data-related issues
  • Ability and attitude to thrive in a fast-moving environment
  • Understand and create efficient report data models
  • Skills in Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes for shaping data
  • Ability to create clear and insightful visual representations of data
  • Proficiency in DAX for creating custom calculations in Power BI
  • Skills in using Power Query for data transformation
  • Intermediate SQL skills for querying and managing databases
  • Experience with JSON, XML and HTML
  • Experience with PowerShell, .NET, JavaScript, C#, and/or RESTful Web Services is helpful
