Assist the Compliance team to meet all federal and state legal obligations and compliance requirements as a Third Party Administrator, Agent, and Agency
Work cross-functionally with Partner Relations and internal areas and carrier partners
Assume responsibility for key internal and client reporting
Summarize applicable requirements, identify potential risks and penalties and route to leadership
Coordinate annual regulatory mailings such as Gramm-Leach-Bliley (GLB) and HIPAA: obtain notices, due dates and mailing instructions from carriers; coordinate printing and inserting; oversee and track mailings
Complete carrier and state required mailings (Annual Address Change, Eligibility reminder, Annual Secondary Addressee, monthly CA Auto Renewal Reminder, monthly MA Termination Notification) by running self-serve queries, coordinating with print vendors, printing and sending small volume mailings
Implement OFAC and Patriot Act compliance initiatives: review & validate work queue daily for New Business and Claims matches; screen new business applications; run and send quarterly full file screening to OFAC vendor; gather and provide proof of screening for audits
Coordinate Compliance@agia.com inbox and support the Single Point of Contact Process (SPOC): monitor and log items, assign internal resources, maintain SPOC tracking log, handle fraud/security incidents, log bulletins
Coordinate creation, assignment, and maintenance of training modules with Corporate Training and HR; assign modules in LMS; ensure completion and archive reporting; organize and reply to carrier required attestations
Prepare client, carrier, and internal reports: compile data from multiple sources, generate monthly/quarterly/annual reports, create tracking mechanisms, maintain scheduled carrier level reports and calendar, gather and update monthly department reports
Maintain contracts/agreements: monitor submission portal, complete process steps for executed agreements, pull requested agreements, produce monthly volume reports
Assist Compliance and Security teams with vendor management assurance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum one year of compliance or related experience in a regulatory environment
Minimum three years office experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
Knowledge of Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Knowledge of Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB)
Knowledge of Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) requirements
Knowledge of Insurance regulatory and legal requirements (preferred)
Knowledge of corporate risk analysis (preferred)
Auditing methodologies and best practices (preferred)
Knowledge Insurance and entity licensing requirements (preferred)
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
Ability to interpret regulatory information and apply to company policies and practices
Strong written communication skills
