Key responsibilities & impact

Research, evaluate, and document complex accounting issues under U.S. GAAP
Prepare high-quality technical accounting memos and position papers
Develop and maintain a robust set of accounting policies and internal guidance
Monitor new and emerging accounting pronouncements
Lead purchase accounting analyses for acquisitions
Provide technical accounting guidance on transaction structures
Support accounting diligence efforts and review of transaction-related agreements
Partner with internal teams to ensure alignment on accounting treatment
Support the preparation and review of GAAP financial statements and disclosures

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or related field)
7+ years of relevant experience (public accounting strongly preferred)
Deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition) and ASC 805 (Business Combinations)
Strong experience preparing technical accounting memos and interfacing with auditors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
CPA certification (strongly preferred)
Experience in the insurance industry (MGA, brokerage, or underwriting)
Familiarity with IFRS
Experience supporting financial statement preparation and disclosures
