Assist with maintaining contractual and regulatory compliance requirements across AGIA, carriers, clients, and insureds
Summarize applicable requirements, identify potential risks and penalties, and route to leadership
Coordinate annual regulatory mailings (GLB, HIPAA): obtain notices and mailing instructions, coordinate printing/inserting, oversee and track mailings
Complete carrier and state required mailings (Annual Address Change, Eligibility reminder, Secondary Addressee, CA Auto Renewal Reminder, MA Termination Notification): run self-serve queries, coordinate with print vendors, print/send small volume mailings
Implement OFAC and Patriot Act compliance initiatives: review/validate daily work queue for New Business and Claims matches, coordinate screening of new business applications, run/send quarterly full file screening to OFAC vendor, gather proof of screening for audits
Coordinate Compliance & Partner Relations inquiries in Compliance@agia.com inbox and support SPOC process: monitor/log items, assign resources, maintain tracking log, handle fraud/security incidents, log bulletins
Coordinate creation, assignment, and maintenance of associate training modules with Corporate Training and HR; ensure completion and archive reporting; manage carrier required attestations
Prepare client, carrier, and internal reports: compile data from multiple sources for monthly/quarterly/annual reports, create tracking mechanisms, maintain scheduled carrier reports and calendar, update monthly department reports
Maintain contracts/agreements: monitor submission portal, complete process steps for fully executed agreements, pull agreements from database, produce monthly volume reports
Assist Compliance and Security teams with vendor management assurance
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Minimum one year of compliance or related experience in a regulatory environment
Minimum three years office experience, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
Knowledge of HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act)
Knowledge of Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLB)
Knowledge of Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) requirements
Knowledge of Insurance regulatory and legal requirements preferred
Knowledge of corporate risk analysis preferred
Auditing methodologies and best practices preferred
Knowledge of Insurance and entity licensing requirements preferred
Intermediate proficiency in MS Office
Ability to interpret regulatory information and apply to company policies and practices
Strong written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and changing priorities
Strong time management skills
Ability to establish and maintain internal and external business relationships
