About the role
- Apply theory and principles of civil engineering in planning, designing, and overseeing fabrication of structures
- Draft detailed dimensional drawings and design layouts for projects
- Calculate dimensions, square footage, profile and component specifications, and material quantities
- Read and review project blueprints and structural specifications
- Confer with supervisor to determine project details
- Inspect project site and evaluate contractor work
- Develop plans and estimate costs for the construction of structures
- Prepare reports and document project activities and data
- Respond to manufacturing plant and public suggestions and complaints
- Evaluate facility to determine suitability for occupancy
- Conduct materials test and analysis on prototypes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree – Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience or Professional Engineer’s license
- Required: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, AutoCAD or similar
- Preferred: Visual Analysis or similar structural design and analysis program and Metal Building Software
- Desired: Visual Basic Programming
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
