About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the on-site execution of complex, high-value major projects
  • Ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project delivery at the site level
  • Oversee load-in, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and demobilization
  • Work with the Major Projects Program Manager and Major Projects Leader to provide leadership and mentoring across the Major Projects team
  • Manage complex projects using established processes, tools, and formal project management principles
  • Coordinate with internal engineering and other teams on estimates, drawings, and customer quote materials
  • Manage 3–5 major projects through the full project life cycle
  • Plan, organize, and direct installation, commissioning, maintenance, and demobilization activities
  • Serve as the primary interface with clients, contractors, client engineers, internal Engineering, vendors, and technical service representatives
  • Travel 40–60% of the time across North America in varied industries and environments

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of significant project experience managing field-related projects
  • Experience in one or more sectors: Utility, Petrochem/Refining, Building Construction and Services
  • Knowledge of HVAC/R, electrical power generation, transmission, and distribution is a plus
  • Experience managing EPC, EPCM, or similar integrated project teams
  • Strong focus on HSE and safety leadership
  • Strong negotiation skills for managing and resolving conflicts with internal and external stakeholders
  • Decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions, and identifying priorities
  • Strong organizational and communication skills for leading multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
  • Ability to move or lift objects up to 50 lbs.
  • PMP, CM-Lean, or similar project management certification preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar preferred
  • Experience with temporary power systems, modular infrastructure, or energy transition technologies preferred
  • Familiarity with Aggreko’s equipment and service offerings preferred
