About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment and/or oil free air compressors at the shop or in the field
- Work on 100kw-6000kw resistive & resistive/reactive load banks
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment using hand tools and power tools
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment, using standard testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, mergers, as well as observing functions to ensure compatibility and safety of components
- Work on your own or team up with a technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop.
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma/GED
- 2-5 years of experience working on power generators and/or commercial HVAC equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs
- Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading and knowing schematics
- Based on the customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card
- Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 50 lbs.
- Valid driver’s license.
