About the role

  • Build and maintain web and mobile applications across the venture studio’s portfolio companies (starting with a consumer health app and web marketplace).
  • Work with Next.js, React, and React Native to create performant, refined, and user-friendly experiences.
  • Collaborate directly with founders to define requirements, ship features, and iterate fast.
  • Contribute to UI/UX decisions with an eye for detail and design.
  • Integrate third-party APIs and services as needed.
  • Use AI coding tools (we use Cursor) to accelerate development and experiment with new approaches.
  • Stay flexible and open-minded — work across different industries and products as the portfolio evolves.

Requirements

  • Proven experience building and shipping web and/or mobile apps.
  • Strong skills with Next.js, React, and React Native.
  • Proficiency with Next.js, React.js, React Native, Node.js, and TypeScript.
  • A product mindset — you care about the end-user experience, not just the code.
  • Curiosity and eagerness to learn, experiment, and use new tools.
  • Experience using AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT).
  • Motivated, self-starter attitude — able to figure things out and push projects forward independently.
  • Previous startup or small-team experience is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills for collaboration.
  • Amenable to working U.S. timezones (EST, MST, CST, PST).
