Director – Business Development, Mammalian
AGC BiologicsDirector/Senior Director responsible for business development and sales in Europe for AGC Biologics. Identifying contracts, promoting growth, and executing sales strategies in the biopharmaceutical sector.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Identify, initiate, lead, and close contracts for new projects with both new and existing clients.
- Promote company visibility, growth, and profitability.
- Formulate and implement strategies to substantially increase revenue and market share in the region.
- Develop and execute a territory sales plan to achieve annual sales targets through new deal acquisition.
- Establish contact and develop proposals with prospective and existing clients that meet target profiles.
- Communicate company capabilities effectively and facilitate site visits.
- Coordinate follow-up communication and lead closing process for new business opportunities.
- Contribute to the development of an effective regional marketing plan.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5–8+ years of proven success in Business Development or Sales, preferably within the CMO/CDMO industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, or a related technical area is preferred
- Highly effective written, verbal, and presentation-driven communication skills
- Ability to adjust communication style easily to suit different audiences and contexts
- Established network of industry contacts within the biopharmaceutical sector is preferred
- Willingness to travel globally to AGC Biologics sites and client locations, approximately 50% of the time.
