About the role

  • Provide functional and disciplinary leadership of the Project Management and Controlling unit within the Technical Department
  • Steer, plan and monitor technical projects, in particular construction, refurbishment and capital investment projects
  • Take responsibility for large-scale projects across all project phases (planning, implementation, controlling)
  • Develop and continuously improve project management standards, methods and tools
  • Accountable for budget planning, cost control, forecasting and economic viability analyses
  • Prepare reports, KPIs and decision-making documents for the Technical Director and hospital management
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders (medical, nursing, procurement, IT, executive management) and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with legal, technical and financial requirements
  • Direct reporting line to the Technical Director

Requirements

  • Degree in engineering (e.g., civil, building services/utilities, electrical or industrial engineering) or equivalent
  • Several years of professional experience in project management, ideally in hospitals or the healthcare sector
  • Proven experience in leading and managing large-scale projects is expressly desired
  • Leadership experience or strong leadership skills
  • Excellent analytical skills and a strong commercial/financial mindset
  • Proficient in project management and controlling tools
  • Strong communication skills, assertiveness and a cooperative leadership style
