About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work in the daily production workflow, critically reviewing and editing medical content in various formats, ensuring technical accuracy, compliance with Afya's editorial guidelines and the specific requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, and meeting challenging SLAs.
Turn approved strategic plans into medical content produced with excellence, objectivity, and clarity, ensuring operational efficiency throughout the process.
Apply traditional SEO techniques and pioneering GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) practices to ensure medical content stands out in conventional search and AI-powered assistants.
Operate generative and agentic AI pipelines to optimize briefing workflows, reference research, and content structuring, enabling the team to scale.
Serve as the team's administrative focal point with the Content Governance team, responsible for managing contracts and terminations and handling payment processes for external suppliers.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Editorial Production, Journalism, Marketing, or Literature/Language Studies.
Experience in producing, reviewing, and editing medical content, preferably for medical education or pharmaceutical segments.
Experience with generative AI tools applied to content creation and optimization.
Ability to handle high-volume workloads, strong organizational skills, and meet challenging deadlines.
Experience in operational management of suppliers, contracts, and administrative processes.
Knowledge of SEO and experience with GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) will be considered a plus.
